Here we have a superb quality piece of furniture in the form of a walnut secretaire desk dating from the early part of the 19th Century, it appears as a four drawer chest but on opening the top two drawers fall down to be the desk and reveal the internal section which comprises of multiple small tonge and groove construction drawers of various sizes and eight storage compartments each with a viaduct style construction, there is also a central stroage section behind a door with lock (no key) the green baize has a water type stain, beneath are two large pull out storage drawers all with brass handles, the patina of the wood is wonderful and this would grace any home.
