Here we have a very nice quality late 19th Century writing slope in walnut with Mother of Pearl decoration to the top and the escutcheon, inside there is a nice plush lavender coloured covering, associated glass ink well, pen tray that lifts to reveal a secret compartment and under one end of the slope accessed by a brass catch is a storage area, the original working lock and key are present.
