Here we have a 19th century Oak ballot or vote counting box, the central circular area allows the wrist to go in to secretly cast the vote which is placed into one of two internal slots, the drawer at the bottom opens to allow access to count votes, complete with two early plastic vote counters for the Rotary club of Whitby.
